Common questions
How long does translation take?
Minutes, not weeks. The exact time depends on the length of your book, but most picture books are fully translated, polished, and narrated in under an hour. You preview everything and request corrections before publishing.
Can I still sell my book on Amazon or other platforms?
Yes. You retain full copyright and ownership of your original work. The license you grant Redda is non-exclusive, so you can continue selling your book anywhere else.
What rights does Redda get?
A non-exclusive license to translate, narrate, and distribute your book through the Redda app. You keep your copyright. When you withdraw your book, all translations and narrations are deleted within 30 days.
What formats do you accept?
Upload page images (JPG or PNG) and your text through Redda Studio. You can also import from EPUB or paste text directly. No special formatting required.
How does the revenue share work?
Each month, net subscription revenue is split based on your share of qualified reads across the platform. A qualified read is when a reader reaches 50% of your book. Re-reads count, every language counts equally. Founding authors keep 70%. Standard authors keep 50%.
When do I get paid?
Quarterly, within 45 days of each quarter end, for earnings above $25.
What if I want to remove my book?
You can unpublish at any time. Your book is removed from the app within 10 business days, and all translations and audio are deleted within 30 days. Any earned revenue is still paid out.
